Ted Williams The Man With "The Golden Voice" The First Seven Days.

Monday, Jan. 3: The Columbus Dispatch posts a 97-second clip of Williams, 53, on its website. The shaggy-haired homeless man is seen holding a hand-scrawled cardboard sign touting his "God-given gift of voice." He demonstrates his jaw-dropping skills to the reporter, admitting he used to have a problem with alcohol and drugs but was trying to get back on track.

Tuesday, Jan. 4: The video is posted to YouTube by an anonymous user. That clip (which is later removed) goes viral, with more than 13 million page views in less than 48 hours. Hosts of radio morning show "Dave and Jimmy" chat about Williams on the air. A listner calls in and offers $15,000 to have the show hire Williams. He’s interviewed on CBS’ "The Early Show."

Wednesday, Jan. 5: More job offers begin to flood in. The Cleveland Cavaliers contact Williams in hopes of working out a deal. Among the rumored possibilities: gigs with the NFL, The Ohio Credit Union League, MTV and ESPN.

Thursday, Jan. 6: Sporting a new haircut, Williams returns to his hometown and uses his silky-smooth voice to open the "Today" show in New York. He later records a voice over for a Kraft Macaroni & Cheese commercial. Later, he is finally reunited with his mother, Julia Williams, 90, for the first time in more than a decade. She begs him, "Don’t disappoint me."

Friday, Jan. 7: Oprah Winfrey tells "Inside Edition" that there’s a spot for Williams on her newly launched network. He returns to "Today" with his mother, and acknowledges he worries about relapsing and will see a therapist to deal with his newfound fame. "I feel like I’m going to need it," he says.

Monday, Jan. 10: Williams is in California to shoot a number of television appearances, including spots on "Entertainment Tonight" and "Dr. Phil."  He visits the L.A. Lakers and meets Kobe Bryant.
But things fall apart later that night. Williams is arrested and briefly detained by the Los Angeles Police Department at a Hollywood hotel around 9 p.m. after he and his 29-year-old daughter get into an altercation.

Tuesday, Jan. 11: Dr. Phil sits down with Williams, where the two discuss the challenges he’s faced. Dr. Phil questions his sobriety. He denies an incident in which he was accused of violent behavior, public urination and stealing customers’ cars at a tire store in Ohio. He later admits it.
Williams rehashes his arrest on "Entertainment Tonight." He claims his daughter, Janey, hit him. She says he drinks "at least a bottle of Grey Goose" a night.

The formerly homeless Williams, who has battled drug and alcohol problems, got into a heated argument with his daughter at the Renaissance hotel, say sources.
An LAPD spokesman stated that the police “responded to a disturbance call at the Renaissance Hotel last night at about 9 p.m.” and two people “were transferred to the Hollywood station.”
The spokesman added, “The investigation is ongoing,” but “no one was booked, no files were charged.”

Ted’s dynamic radio voice has remained in tact and he is ready to take his voice back to the air waves. “I am so excited, happy and overwhelmed,” said Williams. “I thank God for this second chance and I want to use this time to reconnect with my family and hopefully re start my radio career and continue doing voice over work,” continued Williams.
